Is this really progress? A true “center of the community” will now be replaced with yet another dormitory and….1500 more students. Don’t get me wrong, Northeastern was here before I bought my home so, I knew what I was getting into. Actually, I think this area of Boston is a very cool melting pot of urban professionals, college students, families, and everyday people all peacefully co-existing. That being said, it’s unfortunate that another local icon will soon be gone forever, and a little bit of Boston’s history will be swept away.
